One of the American men purchased new clothing for some of the younger girls.

Those girls receiving new clothes were thankful.

Sister Noemi is greeting one of the volunteer translators and two volunteer dentists at the orphanage.

Another photo opportunity for the girls.

Jairo was delighted to receive a brand new wheelchair from the donors at the Wheelchair Foundation. This wheelchair should last longer because it was built with softer tires that are more suitable for the unpaved roads that Jairo must use. This photo also includes several of the local volunteers that help the orphanage.

A local volunteer with Paola.

The girls also learn how to make small dolls and handicrafts.

The older girls can learn how to sew not only the dolls and handicrafts but clothing also.

This is a game of quickness and "tag." Individual members of each team try to snatch the shoe on the ground and make a "clean getaway" without getting tagged. The girls have great fun with this game.

The photographer lined up some of the girls who received new glasses after their first ever eye exams in September 2004.
